5 points to compare

| Technology | Are computing and robotics part of class time? |
| Homework | How much homework a day in each grade? |
| Afternoons | Which clubs are there and what do they cost? |
Moving up from preschool to elementary
First grade asks children to sit for longer, follow written instructions and organize their supplies. Students who move from preschool to elementary within the same school usually adapt faster: they know the place, the teachers and their classmates.
Beyond grades
- How is getting along — and conflict — handled?
- Are there spaces for students to speak and argue a point?
- Do they take part in contests, fairs or competitions?
- What happens with a student who moves faster or slower?
Technology isn't the same as thinking
An elementary school having tablets doesn't say much. What counts is that students learn to create with technology: programming, building a robot, researching and presenting. At Colegio Encinos our sixth-graders took part in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge, the international robotics competition for school teams.
