Colegio Encinos began as a quality education option that recognizes each child as an individual, fostering respect and collaboration.
Who we are
Colegio Encinos is a private school in Tecate, Baja California, with preschool and elementary grades, accredited by Mexico's Ministry of Education. We're at Blvd. Benito Juárez #1000, in Colonia Chávez.
The heart of our educational model is Philosophy for Children, a program through which students reflect and build critical, ethical and creative thinking. It encourages listening and dialogue, fostering the careful thinking that makes a child aware of themselves and of the world around them.
Why an oak
The oak is the tree of this land: it grows slowly, puts down deep roots and stands up to Tecate's sun and wind. Our crest draws it with its leaves and its acorn, and it says what we want for every student: to grow with patience, with firm roots, and to give shade to others.
